Do not go here!!!. HORRIBLE!My son was diagnosed with torticolis when he was 4 months old by his doctor. He also pointed out to me that he had some flattening of the head and that a cranial molding helmet would be the right thing to do to correct the problems. I was shocked because I didn't even notice it myself. Of course, my child is perfect to me so i needed someone else to point it out. I was pretty upset and bummed but the doctors had given me great mental support and prescribed a helmet and sent me to Hanger. The business was clean, organized and comfterable. A guy named Tim opened the door and called us back. I'm a very socialable person so i stuck up a conversation and he seemed friendly. As the appointment continued i started to notice he wasnt taking much of a liking to my son, which ok.. some people dont like kids, but when i started to ask questions about the helmet, he seemed very quick to answer and didn't make me feel at ease about the situation at all. but i put my personal issues aside and thought he was a professional so his lack of personal customer service skills was the least of my worries. The helmet arrives a week later and we went in to put it on for the first time. He tried it on and made a few adjustments and then sent us on our way. A day later i noticed his ears were being smashed and folded and called for another adjustment, sounding annoyed he agreeded to have us come in that same day, he fixed the ear adjustments and sent us on our way again. As soon as we got home I took the helmet off for an hour like instructed and put it back on. I noticed my son's left eye was completely smashed in the helmet while his other eye was wide open. I called to voice my opinion on my concern, and again sounding annoyed he told me to come back in. I went back into hanger with my son and decided I was going to be firm about him fixing this. the previous visits he had written off all my concerns about the helmet not fitting right. Truth was, he had manipulated the helmet so that everytime we left, it looked like it fit, but just putting my son in the carseat was enough to make it move back into its normal unfit position. He kept trying to justify the reason why the helmet was the way it is. " Your son's head is flat" and " his forehead is bigger on one side" and " just push the fat above his eye back under the helmet" I was polite but asked him to trim some area's. He grabbed his helmet and as he was walking out the door said " i guess im going to have to.. might ruin it though!" in a pissed off attitude and slammed the door. I was annoyed but kept my cool. After he came back in, he put it on and kept trying to justify the reasons why it is suppose to look like that. I knew this wasnt right, so i kept telling him No, it needs to be fixed. Finally he took the helmet off. walked over to the door and said " Were just going to do another scan, The measurements might come back the same and if they do, then theres nothing i can do for you!!" with his hands IN THE AIR as he was saying this.I made the appointment and canceled a few days later. I went somewhere else because not only did this man treat me like crap but he made is seem like it was my son's fault to why the helmet wasnt fitting right. I cried after that appointment because i felt like this guy couldnt empathize how i felt for one second. He was in a rush the entire time to just get it over and done with. His customer service skills SUCK! Do not ever go to this place. There is a place called OMNI in urbana that does ALOT better and traveling out of town to peoria or bloomington is also a better option (thats what i did) I also would like to say that when i called to cancel the second scan i spoke to the secretary, and she asked me if i wanted to speak to tim, and i said i didnt have anything left to say but if he would like he could give me a call. NEVER CALLED. how unprofessional is that, He could have just called to say "im sorry you were unsatified" but nope. THIS PLACE SUCKS!
