Urbana >Frederick & Hagle
Worked for me: I was hurt at work in early 2006 and on the way home from therapy in late 2006, I was in a head-on collision accident. Not a good year for me. Neither issue was my fault, but it involved multiple legal issues to untangle. I didn't always like what I was told by Mr. Frederick and his staff, no one likes having a "reality check" cashed. But I always got honest answers to my questions, and I had a lot of questions. One of the things I learned was that good things come to those that wait. The "tactics" of insurance companies and their attorneys, in my opinion, is to postpone the proceedings for as long as possible to make memories fail and stories change, so they can confuse the issues, or even to see if litigants die, then the policy doesn't have to pay out... Also, the court system works as slow as molasses in January. Government workers get paid whether they work on my case or not. And don't forget, sometimes people don't tell the truth, so while all the waiting is going on, someone might be watching you to see if you are really hurt, or faking it for an easy payout. I don't blame them for checking on these types of things, as my issues are legitimate, and backed up by doctors, but insurance companies are just that, companies. And as such, have to follow the procedures of their company, adding to the time it took to work through the issus. One of the most difficult things I had to do was pay my bills while I was hurt. Collection agencies don't think that knee surgery, or cervical disc fusion is a good reason not to pay your bills. So, hurt, broke, mad at the legal system, and having someone tell me that "these things take time", and oh by the way, they will be watching you night and day to see if you're faking or can take a picture of you doing something that can be taken out of context, is not exactly helpful for a cheerful life. But this is now 2012. Both of my legal issues have been settled. Six years and six months for the work issue and four years for the auto issue. My credit still has the marks on it, but is now noted with "paid in full" on the delinquent bills and my wife and I are breathing a little easier right now. It is truely a unique feeling to not have any court issues hanging over my head, and it feels great. I don't say this lightly, so understand, if you need an attorney, I really do feel for you. Jeff Frederick has been a blessing to my wife and I, and having Frederick and Hagle working for you would be the best thing you could do. I used to mess with Jeff and tell him I was in an ocean of legal trouble, and I was glad to have him as my shark on my side. I understand when others are mad and upset or whatever about legal issue, but do what your lawyer tells you, whether you like it or not, and all will work out in the end. Did for me.
HORRIBLE Services (NO STAR IF I COULD). So, in 2009 i got into a car accident. banged myself up pretty good and went to the ER. The people in the other vehicle fled and had no insurance. My girlfriend referred me to this law office, so i had a consultation and the lawyer (Scott Bennett) suggested i sue my own insurance company. i took his advice and went along with it... it is now 2012, Mr. Bennett no longer even works there and i now have a new attorney which he seemed a lot better the Mr. Bennett as 3 years passed and NOTHING was done and he rarely EVER contacted me back. As of now, the new guy seems okay but he keeps saying that he is "working on it" and to call him back in a week or two, i do so and all i get is his voicemail. i find it quite ridiculous that it has taken 3 years on a little $10,000 case...perhaps that is why it has taken so long, Not enough money involved. and that this all could of been settled if people just took 5 mins out of the day to call the insurance adjuster, ETC. Either way i would never recommend this place to ANYONE. i myself am hoping that my case gets settled ASAP so i do not have to concern myself with this law firm.
